Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to work in our beautiful venue. Colshaw Hall Country Estate is a well-established and award-winning wedding venue located in the Cheshire Countryside, and we are looking to expand our team. We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and highly organised Wedding and Events Planner to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of wedding planning and coordination, from initial enquiry, show rounds, contracting and negotiation to meticulously planning all the detail to the big day. You will work closely with our couples to bring their vision to life over their wedding planning journey, manage vendors, in addition to producing function sheets and floor plans to create an unforgettable experience at Colshaw Hall. This role also works closely with the sales office supporting open days and wedding enquiries, along with supporting the team of operational wedding coordinators on wedding days. Key responsibilities Arrange and meet with our wedding couples to plan their wedding days from start to finish, understanding their vision, budget and expectations. Develop and manage wedding timelines, including on site accommodation Produce wedding plans for the operational teams along with floor plans. Coordinate with vendors prior to wedding arrival to ensure arrangements are ready. Provide creative input and solutions to enhance our couples wedding experience. In addition to supporting the sales of additional extras we provide our couples at Colshaw. Ensure the wedding day and vendors adhere to health and safety regulations Maintain accurate wedding records, including invoicing Provide exceptional customer services and act as the main point of contact for confirmed weddings. Join venue team for wedding open days or open evenings to support with the sale of the venue to new couples. Build and maintain strong working relationships with the internal and external teams To ensure that the venue is always presentable. Support admin tasks in the office where required, such as responding to enquiries, conducting show rounds and enquiry follow ups where required. Responsibilities for Standards Work independently & be self-motivated, able to see opportunities for development and improvement and take these forward Strong attention to detail and delivery of the highest standards. Ensure that all operational departments are briefed on each event in fine detail and liaise with other departments on the preparation/feedback on events to ensure that maximum guest experience is achieved. Strong organisational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, as we hold 200 weddings per year the ideal candidate needs to be well organised Effective communication skills to liaise with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders Hospitality industry knowledge to understand the needs and expectations of clients REQUIREMENTS: Must have access to a vehicle and a Full UK driving licence Must hold a Valid UK Passport or EU Citizens card Must be flexible with the days and hours Must be able to work weekends especially during the peak wedding season. Friendly, Polite and very presentable Meticulous attention to detail is essential Must have excellent computer skills 2 years experience in hospitality or wedding planning Previous wedding sales or Event planning experience is preferred Job Type: Full-time Salary based on experience & capability, competitive.
