For any inquiries, please reach out to us at pedsvancouver@bayshore.ca HR Coordinator/Recruiter, under the direction of the HR Manager, completes day-to-day human resources activities at the Branch Office and collaborates in relevant National Service Centre initiatives. Handle all telephone and written inquiries relating to the hiring and selection of Field employees as requested. Hire and screen Field employees according to Bayshore Healthcare recruitment and selection policies and procedures and as such: arrange interview schedules interview potential Field employees, administer and evaluate skills tests document personal information in human resources files complete reference checks arrange for criminal record checks with vulnerable sector screening on the basis of the interview and screening process, contact applicants who did not pass the screening process Assist with the recruitment and selection of Administrative and/or Supervisory employees Schedule, arrange, and conduct onboarding sessions; prepare photo identification cards for Field employees. Maintain Field employee human resources files such that all required documentation, including proof of current professional registration, probationary and annual performance reviews, supervisory reports and continuing education documentation are included. Maintain Field employee human resources files Handle payroll and benefits-related inquiries and assist employees to complete forms. Handle external requests for reference checks and verification of employment Maintain current knowledge of provincial legislation relating to Employment Standards, Human Rights, Workplace Health and Safety, and Labour laws Coordinate office activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance to company policies. Oversee the office and medical supplies purchasing and inventory Provide administrative support for branch including but not limited to scanning, mailing, and shipping Qualifications At Bayshore HealthCare, we stand as an equal opportunity employer. Education Completion of a recognized Human Resources diploma or degree program is preferred. Experience Must have at least 2 years of experience with recruitment, office administrative operations, and HR functions or relevant role. Other Skills And Abilities Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to handle difficult situations in an objective consistent format Proficiency in use of computer software including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel required. Attention to detail is required in entering confidential data and information. Must have excellent time management skills and be able to prioritize and complete assigned tasks. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems, human resource information systems and other HR related software Ability to operate all standard office equipment; commitment to continued learning. Must be an excellent team player and able to work and adapt with a diverse group of individuals. Must have the ability to be resourceful with good problem-solving skills. Must be able to work independently. Previous customer service experience is an asset. Must be proficient in the English language in both written and verbal communication. Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to) Frequent typing, walking, sitting, and standing throughout shift. Occasional lifting (approx. 16 lbs.), bending, pushing, and pulling.
