Senior Database Administrator (Postgresql)

The primary goal of the project is the modernization, maintenance, and development of an eCommerce platform for a big US-based retail company, serving millions of omnichannel customers each week. Solutions are delivered by several Product Teams focused on different domains - Customer, Loyalty, Search and Browse, Data Integration, Cart. Current overriding priorities are new brands onboarding, re-architecture, database migrations, and migration of microservices to a unified cloud-native solution without any disruption to business. Responsibilities : We are looking for a Database Administrator with experience managing PostgreSQL in a cloud environment, who can help tune the performance of the client platform : Quickly onboard to Customer's processes Performance tuning on request Handle DBA work with Incident tickets Collaborate with other teams and the client to find the best solutions Mandatory Skills Description : Willingness to work until 9.00 pm CET (overtime not required) Excellent skills in PostgreSQL tuning with and without tools and plugins/extensions Strong experience managing PostgreSQL in any cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP) Advanced knowledge of SQL queries, joins, functions, and procedures Understanding of networking, infrastructure components, PostgreSQL settings, and flags Experience with monitoring tools, workload analysis, and query benchmarking for applications Strong written and verbal communication skills Nice-to-Have Skills : Experience working with Azure Certifications in AWS, GCP, or Azure database management DevOps experience and familiarity with GitHub Experience working in distributed teams with US customers J-18808-Ljbffr
