Continuing full time appointment Professional Employee Level 4 (starting at level 4.1 to level 4.3) - $67,800– $70,649 pa Plus 17% superannuation and 6 weeks annual leave Casuarina Campus First Nations Students & Engagement (FNS&E) provides a comprehensive range of services and support to assist Indigenous students in their Vocational and Higher Education. About the Position As the Program Officer – Tutorial Support, you will be responsible for providing advice, expertise and support on all supplementary funding programs and projects including: Tutorial Support (TS) and Away from Base (AFB). The First Nations Student Support team provides guidance, support, mentoring and referrals for TAFE and HE students along their educational journey. This role works within the First Nations Student Programs team to administer the Tutorial Support program which delivers free individual and group tutoring to eligible First Nations students. Funded by the Australian Government, the program aims to increase and maintain the enrolment, progression, and completion rates of First Nations students through tuition services. As a member of a small and dynamic team, the Program Officer - Tutorial Support works directly with a diverse range of students, staff and stakeholders on a day-to-day basis to contribute towards the efficient and effective administration of the Tutorial Support program. As a member of the broader First Nations Students & Engagement team the role also contributes to student-facing events (e.g., student orientation, graduation or skills workshops), marketing of FNS&E services to prospective students, and other First Nations Leadership & Engagement initiatives. About You To be successful, you will require: Experience working with and/or in a First Nations Australian or relatable context, including demonstrated knowledge of historical and contemporary issues of importance to First Nations Australians. Proven ability to provide administrative support in a team environment with the capacity to interpret policies for advice on rules and processes, organise and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines, exercise initiative, and work with minimal supervision. Proficiency in various desktop applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, email, web-based research tools, financial software systems, and people management platforms such as Callista or CRM systems. High level written, verbal and interpersonal skills to interact with and provide exceptional customer service to a wide range of internal and external clients. The base salary will be in the range of $67,800 – $70,649 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $79,326 - $82,659 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
