Small Engine/Plant Mechanic

About the role We are seeking a Small Engine/Plant Mechanic to join our team, a small leading provider of equipment and machinery rentals. In this casual role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a variety of small engines and excavators and plant equipment, ensuring our customers receive reliable and well-functioning products. This position is based in our Long Jetty, NSW 2261 location. What you'll be doing Diagnose, service, and repair a range of small engines, excavators, mini loaders, including lawn mowers, chainsaws, and other power equipment Perform scheduled maintenance on rental equipment and machinery to keep them in optimal working condition Identify and address any issues or problems with equipment, and implement effective solutions Maintain detailed records of all repair and maintenance work Collaborate with the rental team to ensure equipment is ready for customer use Provide exceptional customer service and technical support to our clients What we're looking for Formal qualifications in small engine/plant mechanics or experience in a related trade Extensive experience in the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of a wide range of small engines and power equipment Strong technical skills and a keen eye for detail to identify and resolve equipment issues Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly A reliable, organised, and proactive approach to your work A current driver's licence What we offer At Long Jetty Hire, we are committed to providing a supportive and rewarding work environment for our team.
