Community Inspector Community focused role in a high-growth Council Diverse professional opportunities Permanent Part Time 0.6FTE About the Opportunity : An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified and experienced Community Inspector to join our Compliance Team in Freeling in a part-time capacity. This role is situated in a unique and rapidly growing rural and peri urban area that features the internationally renowned Barossa, historic townships, and the Roseworthy Township Expansion. The region is earmarked for significant growth, particularly with the release of the recent Greater Adelaide Regional Plan (GARP) and offers a diverse range of challenges and professional opportunities. Key Responsibilities : The role is responsible for: Providing key services in accordance with legislation, including (but not limited to): o Animal management o Fire prevention management o Local nuisance and litter control o Parking control Receiving complaints and undertaking investigations as required Resolving matters including through enforcement of legislation as required Providing advice to the community, administration and management Providing outstanding customer service, with a focus on timely communication and clarity What We’re Looking For : Qualifications : Current accreditation as a Community Inspector, an Animal Management Officer, a Fire Prevention Officer is desirable, however the role may also suit an individual with previous experience in a similar role or experience in law enforcement.
