Role We are seeking a Maintenance Officer to join our Orchard Workshop. We have large scale Pecan production with ongoing development across the Moree Plains shire. The duties include: Maintenance of all farming plant and equipment Pre-season maintenance of cleaning plant Pre-season maintenance of harvest equipment Metal fabrication, welding, oxy acetylene and lathe work as required to facilitate the above maintenance tasks, in line with your experience To be on call, as required, to carry out maintenance on plant involved in shift work (e.g. irrigation and foliar spraying) Essential Key Requirements: Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical or Diesel Fitting or experience Well-developed automotive fitting and/or mechanical skills obtained in a workshop environment Manual handling skills Have a sound mechanical aptitude and knowledge. Experience operating manual lathes and welding equipment is essential. Demonstrate a high degree of flexibility with job tasks. The ability to participate in ongoing training and be open to new ideas.
