With the potential of positions in the new financial year across the Wide Bay Area: Labourer - General Construction & Concreting Labourer - Roading, Parks & Gardens, Water Services Labourer - Patch Truck - need MR & HR Water Truck - Need HR Key Responsibilities: The positions involve manual labouring for maintenance and construction works, including but not limited to the following: Maintaining a safe working environment under Council regulations and procedures Manual handling Working with mobile plant Working with underground utilities Working at Heights and Confined Spaces Working on Bridges, Major Culverts and Roads Sprayed bituminous and asphalt work Setting up simple formwork and steel fixing Installation of road and bridge furniture Position Requirements: Mandatory: Unrestricted Class C Drivers Licence Possession of a Construction Industry General Safety Induction Card Ability to complete "Working in Proximity to Traffic" course prior to commencement Demonstrated physical fitness and capability to undertake manual labouring work Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment to ensure that outcomes are achieved Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally with a variety of internal and external parties Be willing to undertake a Police Check Desired: Possession of a current Class 'MR' or 'HR' Drivers Licence Plant Operating Tickets Possession of a Traffic Controller Accreditation with experience undertaking traffic control and signage set out on public roads Please apply now as an expression of interest, shortlisted Candidates will be contacted.
