Imagine Rural What you'll be doing Provide expert clinical input into the delivery of Alcohol and other Drug (AOD) Consultation Liaison Services across the LHD. The clinician will work across the District as a part of the broader Multidisciplinary team, and in collaboration with key stakeholders to provide clinical leadership and a coordinated approach to the development and implementation of a District wide AOD Consultation Liaison Service. Selection Criteria Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse with at least 5 years full time equivalent registration experience with at least 3 year's fulltime equivalent experience in the speciality field. In addition the employee must have approved postgraduate nursing qualifications in Alcohol and Other Drugs or current enrolment in or commitment to enrol in an approved postgraduate course within the next 12 months. Demonstrated advanced experience in the comprehensive assessment and management of people with complex AOD needs, including advanced skills in the CL environment. Demonstrated experience in ensuring integrated care and effective partnerships with inpatient services, mental health services, GPs, and Community Managed Organisations. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding in applying research and evidence based practice to the workplace with the ability to apply critical thinking and problem solving skills to models of care and project management outcomes. Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage and collaborate with clients, their families and carers and other stakeholders; and a demonstrated high proficiency in computer literacy and virtual health/telehealth support options. Proven project management skills, clinical leadership capabilities with the ability to provide clinical advice and input into project design and implementation. Evidence of a current unrestricted driver’s licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays. Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specific Diseases This is a Category ‘A’ position, please read and understand NSW Health policy directive PD2024_015 All new employees must agree to comply with the requirements outlined in this policy. OASV requirements also include proof of vaccination against influenza and is compulsory for NSW Staff that enter any Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) or who work in NSW Health owned and operated RACFs.
