Your new role As a payroll officer, you will be responsible for managing and processing the payroll for government employees. Your duties will include ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining payroll records, and responding to payroll-related enquiries. Basically, you will be running the payroll process end to end and assisting with payroll reporting and compliance with relevant legislation and policies. What you'll need to succeed To be successful in the role you will need: Proven experience in payroll processing. Strong knowledge of payroll systems and software. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Good understanding of payroll legislation and compliance requirements. Strong organisational and time management skills. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Must be immediately available and open to short-term assignments. This role is only for 5 to 6 weeks' duration.
