About The Facility Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong’s CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac. About The Role As a Clinical Pharmacist in Oncology, you will rotate across Oncology Pharmacy, the Oncology/Haematology inpatient ward, and St John of God Geelong Oncology Service. You will provide clinical pharmacy services to ensure safe, appropriate, and efficient drug use within Barwon Health and upon discharge into the community. Undertake and develop your skill set in a range of settings involving oncology and haematology within Barwon Health. Responsibilities Include Provide a clinical pharmacy service to oncology patientsUndertake roles in oncology manufacturing processesParticipate in the co-ordination of oncology and haematology clinical trials under the guidance of the oncology clinical trials pharmacistEnsure appropriate drug utilization through implementation of hospital policy and formulary guidelines/restrictions, and through liaison with medical and nursing staff.Participate in appropriate ward rounds and planning meetings.Participate in the intern and student programs.Initiate and participate in clinical pharmacy research projects and present at professional conferences, where appropriate.Assist team members in delivering a clinical pharmacy serviceEnsure all work is complete accurately on time and in accordance with Barwon Health policies and procedures Please note Barwon Health will only contact you via our official email and never use unconventional means, such as text messaging or other services.
