Senior Project Engineer – Major Projects Full Time Temporary until 30 June 2026 Requisition Number: 610 Salary Range: $102,660.42 - $154,702.45 pro-rata per annum Relocation expenses may be considered for exceptional candidates. Find out more about the Cairns Water Security Stage 1 Project here: https://haveyoursay.cairns.qld.gov.au/CWSS1 What You Will Do: This is an exciting opportunity to use your project engineering knowledge, skills and experience and work with our Major Projects team in delivering one of the largest and most critical projects in the region. As a Senior Project Engineer you will be responsible for leading project delivery activities, completed by both internal and external resources, for capital works across Council’s engineering project portfolio. In addition to this, you will be responsible for assisting with project management and contract management responsibilities surrounding consultancy, material supply and building. What We Are Looking For: Bachelor of Engineering or other relevant Engineering qualification. Extensive civil engineering, project and contract management experience in a medium to large multi-disciplined organisation. Demonstrated ability to manage multi-disciplinary project teams to achieve project & corporate objectives. Demonstrated ability in using effective negotiation skills when dealing with clients. Well-developed written communication skills with demonstrated ability to write detailed technical reports.
