Job Description

Flexible working conditions and ongoing opportunities for training and career development Be involved in one of TMR's largest transport infrastructure programs Key Responsibilities Provide support and advice on the planning and design process, to ensure delivery of project outcomes, value for money and best practice are achieved. Undertake tendering and estimating activities to support the effective development and delivery of road infrastructure projects. Determine the engineering requirements, including materials, critical components and systems, involved in supporting project management and delivery. Maintain and apply all relevant standards, policies, guidelines and legislative requirements necessary for the design and construction of road infrastructure projects. Ensure all quality management procedures are adhered to in order to facilitate the delivery of road projects to a high and consistent standard for both Transport and Main Roads and clients. Manage and maintain effective liaison and communication with all levels of internal and external stakeholders on all matters relating to transport infrastructure delivery activities. In managing projects you will have the responsibility to plan, assign, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of subordinates and staff that would include encouraging teamwork and fostering a positive attitude toward the achievement of organisational objectives. Work with the Asset Management team in order to effectively prioritise network defects, develop strategies for mitigating issues and coordinating delivery works to help improve the resilience of the North Coast network. Mandatory Qualifications And Conditions Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role. A Washington Accord accredited four-year degree in Engineering or equivalence recognised by Engineers Australia. Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) is mandatory for appointment to the position. A current Class ‘C' Driver Licence. Requirements Of The Role Applies project management principles and methodology to achieve project outcomes. You can use your technical expertise in applying engineering principles, techniques and methods to the planning and design of infrastructure projects and the development of specifications and standards You can use your technical expertise in the application of specifications, standards and practices to the management of construction and maintenance projects and processes. Thinks laterally to generate options and identifies long term consequences of each, to justify appropriate solution. Communicates effectively through oral communication, adapting to audience needs and responses and analyses audience and modifies written communication to suit needs and enhance desired outcomes.
