Ground Support Officer

This is part time 10 hours a week position -with set shift patterns Wednesday 15:30-17:00, Thursday 05:00-08:00 and 12:30-13:30, Friday 11:00-13:30 About the role Aviair is seeking a highly motivated and customer service focused individual to come onboard as a Ground Support Officer based in Newman. As a Ground Support Officer, you are the first point of contact in ensuring our guests and passengers have an amazing experience. You will provide reliable ground support for Aviair flights whilst adhering to Aviair Safety and Quality procedures. Key Duties and responsibilities of the role include Greet customers and guests warmly, responding to telephone and email enquiries on behalf Aviair Responsible for all bookings being received, entered, and confirmed into Reservations Systems Passenger check-in and baggage Facilitate flight departure and arrival operational requirements with a view to maintaining on time performance standards Assist with the collation of freight for scheduled and charter flights Liaise with pilots regarding flight following, ETA and ETD updates, passenger and freight manifests and courtesy transfers Deal with customer complaints in an effective and professional manner, referring unresolved cases to the appropriate Manager Ensure terminal and company vehicle are always maintained in a neat and tidy appearance Adhere to company policies and procedures and actively participate in all meetings and learning and development opportunities What we offer you On the job training Personal development opportunities to grow in a diverse, inclusive company A great team environment To be successful in this role Demonstrated experience in a customer facing role, delivering excellent customer service Experience in administration with demonstrated skills in organisation, time management and attention to detail Ability to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) Excellent computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office and logistics software Ability to be self-motivated and work without supervision Manual Driving License Aviair , formerly known as Slingair, was founded in 1984 and has been under local Kununurra ownership since April 2016.
