Trainee Timber Frame and Truss Estimator/Detailer

About The Role A great opportunity has arisen in our network for a Trainee Timber Frame & Truss Estimator/Detailer to join our Becks Mitre 10 Group located at our Kings Meadows site. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in construction or estimating to take their career to the next level. What You Will Be Doing Collaborate with and assist Estimators with reading & reviewing plans to calculate costings on residential & commercial roof truss, wall frame and floor systems Support the preparation & development of frame and truss designs to the point of manufacture Work collaboratively with the Production team to ensure projects are delivered in full on time Communicating with builders/customers during all stages of planning and construction Where required, provide site inspections relating directly to our supply of frames, truss and materials to clients What You Will Bring To The Role No estimating experience required, but a technical mindset is essential Strong attention to detail with the ability to read and interpret plans Experience using Pryda software or similar detailing software an advantage but not essential; we are happy to train you Ability to learn how to create quotes to ensure competitive pricing Excellent verbal & written communication skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Life at Metcash An abundance of learning, development, and career growth opportunities. 12 weeks of gender-neutral paid parental leave for primary carers.
