INFORMATION FOR APPLICANTS Greater Shepparton City Council, situated in the heart of the Goulburn Valley, is the fourth largest provincial centre in Victoria and has a well-developed economy due to its strong agricultural and irrigation base, with major industries related to food processing, manufacturing and transport. The Goulburn Valley is often referred to as 'The Food Bowl of Australia' as around 25% of the total value of Victoria's agricultural production is generated in this area. Greater Shepparton has a population of approximately 65,000, and an expenditure budget in excess of $118 million. The population is culturally diverse with 9.9% of residents being born overseas. The area has excellent education, recreation, cultural, social and health facilities and tourism is a developing focus for the region. Payroll Officer Salary: $70,960.76 per annum pro rata Closing: Friday 18 April 2025 Part Time (22hrs p/w) - Permanent We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join our dynamic team. This is part time role working 22 hours per week Monday to Wednesday. Duties will include but are not limited to: Administering, updating and maintaining employee data for payroll purposes; Processing timesheets and leave maintenance; Reconciling and processing Superannuation payments; Responding to all payroll related staff enquiries. The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills, highly developed computer literacy, demonstrated ability to handle confidential information and ability to deal with personal issues with tact and diplomacy. High levels of attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines is essential. Must have prior experience of working in Payroll.
