About the position The Business Systems Improvement Project Officer position is responsible for the overseeing and delivery of system and process improvement projects across the Environmental & Regulatory Services branch. They will support the Principal Business Support and Systems with operational requirements related to Business support and systems. They will contribute to strategic and operational planning with a focus on continuous improvement and customer service excellence. They will analyse current processes, practices, and systems to identify opportunities for improvement, and efficiency with a strong focus on innovation and automation. They will also be responsible for engaging with key stakeholders, researching options, providing recommendations, and contributing to the design and delivery of solutions that meet stakeholder needs and add value to the business. This position will work under general direction. The salary range for this position is $81,856.93 - $87,550.25 gross per annum, plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation. Demonstrated experience in undertaking and monitoring project activities including development and implementation of systems and processes relevant to the work areas. Knowledge of statutory requirements of the work area. Highly developed computer literacy skills and proficiency in the use of a multitude of software systems, programs, and packages to deliver outcomes. Ability to learn about new technologies, business and operating methods quickly and use them efficiently and effectively. Ability to provide accurate, timely advice in a helpful and supportive manner to support project objectives, address community and council needs and influence others. Presents a clean and tidy environment that facilitates comfort for internal and external clients Ensures the client’s needs are addressed and, where required, provides additional information and/or support. Demonstrated ability to understand clear instructions and provide a consistent and proactive support service. Demonstrated ability to articulate information clearly using appropriate numeracy, grammar and language, monitor feedback and adapt communication style. Ability to actively listen to others and ask clarifying questions. Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment and contribute to a positive team culture.
