Fairmont Resort Blue Mountains, is seeking a dynamic and strategic Executive Assistant Manager (EAM) to oversee the daily operations of our world-class resort. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role is responsible for the effective leadership of the Kitchen, Food & Beverage, Front Office, Housekeeping, Reservations, Spa, Leisure, and Engineering, with a strong focus on Culinary and Food & Beverage excellence. Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership & Strategy Work closely with the General Manager and Executive Team to implement strategic initiatives that enhance service delivery across the Kitchen, Food & Beverage, Front Office, Housekeeping, Reservations, Spa, Leisure, and Engineering. Lead Culinary and Food & Beverage operations, ensuring high standards in menu development, cost control, and guest satisfaction. Oversee Rooms Division operations to maintain exceptional housekeeping and front office service standards. Collaborate with the Director of Sales & Marketing and Revenue Management to plan revenue targets and maximize profitability. Ensure departmental budgets, forecasting, and financial controls align with business objectives. Act as the General Manager’s delegate in their absence, ensuring seamless operational leadership. Financial Performance & Cost Control Drive cost control strategies, including inventory management, procurement efficiencies, and labor optimization. Support contract negotiations for rooms-related services to maximize cost-effectiveness. Assist in the preparation of month-end reports across operational departments. People & Culture Development Lead, mentor, and inspire department heads to foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and teamwork. Support talent development through training programs, coaching, and performance management. Conduct operational briefings, ensuring transparent communication across teams. Leadership Act as an ambassador, fostering strong relationships with suppliers, partners, and industry stakeholders. Represent the resort at key industry events, networking functions, and community engagements. Advocate for and implement innovative initiatives to drive brand excellence and market leadership. About You Proven experience in a senior hospitality leadership role (EAM, Director of Operations, or equivalent). Strong expertise in Food & Beverage and Culinary operations within a luxury hotel or resort setting. A hands-on leader with a passion for hospitality and service excellence. Demonstrated success in financial management, budgeting, and cost control. Ability to motivate, mentor, and lead large, cross-functional teams. Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Familiarity with Accor systems, brand standards, and operational procedures (preferred). Why Join Us?
