Are you friendly, reliable, and passionate about customer service? Our client is looking for a Cashier / Internal Sales Consultant to join their team at a dynamic wholesale stationery business . In this dual role, you’ll be the welcoming face of their store—assisting customers at the point of sale while also providing knowledgeable product advice and internal sales support. Minimum requirements: Fluent in Afrikaans and English Reliable transport 1-2 years' experience in a similar role Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Pastel Partner Required skills: Customer Service Excellence: Friendly, helpful, and professional with a strong focus on delivering a positive customer experience Sales Ability: Confident in upselling, cross-selling, and recommending products based on customer needs Cash Handling & Point-Of-Sale Operation: Accurate and efficient in operating point-of-sale systems, processing payments, and handling cash/card transactions Product Knowledge: Willingness to learn and maintain up-to-date knowledge of stationery products and promotions Communication Skills: Clear and effective verbal communication with customers, colleagues, and suppliers Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve customer queries or complaints calmly and efficiently Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to manage stock levels, and keep the sales area tidy and well-presented Teamwork: Able to collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment Basic Math Proficiency: Comfortable with handling numbers for sales, discounts, and change Adaptability: Flexible and able to work in a fast-paced, changing retail environment Computer Literacy: Basic knowledge of office software and experience with sales or inventory systems is a plus Remuneration: R 6 000 - R 6 500 Working hours: Monday to Thursday: 07:45 - 17:00 Fridays: 07:45 - 16:00 Every second Saturday IMPORTANT: Applications close 16 May 2025 If you did not receive feedback within 14 days, your application is unsuccessful Please ensure that you use the correct reference when sending your application via email Only candidates who meet all our client's minimum requirements will be contacted
