Sr. Accountant IMPACT and OPPORTUNITY The Senior Accountant position provides support to the Accounting Department in at least one major area of responsibility – Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, GL, Tax and Cash Management. This position is cross trained in the other areas to provide support as needed. The Senior Accountant is responsible for monitoring the month-end closingprocesses and reportingas assigned. Additionally, the Senior Accountant will assist with month end and year end close and audit by assisting with journal entries, account reconciliations, etc. General Accounting Support Monitor the month-end closing processes to be sure that everything is completed. Issue reports as needed on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Work with ExternalAccounting Firm to provide information for tax preparation Provide support to the Accounting Manager as necessaryregarding month-end closings, account reconciliations, spreadsheet applications and journal entries At least One Area of Focus – Cross Trained on All Areas Accounts Payable Handle intercompany AccountPayable Invoices/Payments and sundry issues Accounts Receivable Handle intercompany AccountReceivable Invoices/Collection Financial Audits– preparation of Accounts Receivable reconciliations, provide supportfor details. Cash Management Reconcile all bank accounts on daily/weekly basiswith online accounts. Post bank charges/ interest withinSAP Assist with preparation of cash forecast. Financial Audits – preparation of all Bank reconciliations, providesupport for details. Performs other relatedduties and assignments as required. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field, preferred or, related experience in Accountin 5 years experience in a Staff Accountant role Experience in GL & Taxes Manufacturingexperience preferred Working knowledge of SAP preferred Accounting background with USGAAP / MXGAAP knowledge, Income Tax, VAT, Safe Harbor, Payroll Tax P&L / Balance sheetvariances analysis Tax calculation (Income tax, VAT, retentions, payrolltax) Monthly / Annual statements DIOT(VAT informative) VATreturns Electronic accounting REPSErequirements IRStransactions (SAT websiteknowledge) Billingual English and Spanish Competencies Deliver Results Understand the mission and output of your team; set SMART objectives and deliver Drive Change Focus on agility and commitment to continuous improvement; Understand and act on internal and external drivers of change Build Capability Foster a culture of learning and development; Support individual growth through continuous feedback to achieve personal and professional goals Cultivate Innovation Openly embrace, create, implement and support new and innovative ideas, processes and technology that deliver business results PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT All positions in our office require interaction with people and technology while either standing or sitting.
