MEDICAL RECORDS AND MATERIALS COORDINATORFor over 35 years, North Hill, a not-for-profit senior living community located in Needham, Massachusetts, has provided vibrant living opportunities to people 65 by offering a host of hospitality, wellness and health care services. The Medical Records Coordinator position is responsible for compiling, processing, and managing resident medical information generated in Pines Edge Skilled Nursing Facility as well as inventory management and ordering of supplies. JOB SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS Processes monthly Resident charges for billing and verify billing information for insurance purposesWorks with Supply Vendors to establish PAR levels for supplies and appropriately bill Residents, manages and recall and finds alternative providers as neededPrepares medical record statistical reports for Director of Nursing and Administrator, and leadership team as directedParticipates in quality improvement initiativesFills in for the Health Center Receptionist as neededEnsures physician compliance with visits per regulation and all necessary documentationMaintains a computerized record of authorized/required release of information from the medical record for purposes other than operation, payment or treatmentAudits Resident discharge charts and ensures it is scanned into the electronic health recordEnsures medical records are coded, signed indexed and filed according to proceduresEnsure all ancillary documentation is scanned into the electronic health recordEnsures adequate supplies are provided to each householdKeeps all medical supply areas organized, clean, stock rotated and not expiredMaintains emergency preparedness bin and equipment Assists in welcoming and orienting new Team MembersCompletes monthly medical supply inventory and maintains data to ensure inventory information is accurateParticipates in developing and maintaining the supply budgetResponds to Resident requests for support and uses communication systems appropriatelyRecognizes and reports all allegations of Resident abuse, neglect, exploitation, social media exposure, and/or misappropriation of Resident property immediatelyResponsible for ordering, tracking and a timely return of rental equipment, reports monthly utilizations to AdministratorCollaborates with Purchasing and Inventory Control Supervisor to review effectiveness, procedures and cost control measuresMaintain supply level of PPE testing supplies Ensures forms needed for Resident care and medical records are up to date on all unitsProcess requests for medical records Obtains SDS sheets on new products, maintains and audits the department SDS book, ensuring accuracyResponds to Resident emergencies as neededCompletes all regulatory compliances as scheduledMeets department uniform, appearance and grooming requirementsComplies with all OSHA safety regulations, local applicable laws regarding health, safety or environment EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEHigh School Diploma or equivalent Certificate or associate degree in health information technology preferred North Hill Offers:Low patient ratio Free mealsCompetitive shift differentialFree parkingFree on-site fitness centerState-of-the-art work environmentEmployee referral programHealth & Dental Benefits401(k) with company matchCareer Development TrainingTuition Reimbursement North Hill is committed to providing equal opportunity for employment and advancement to all team members and potential team members.
