CDL B Driver

Job Description Job Description We are seeking a CDL B Driver to join our team! You will be responsible for safely operating a flatbed straight truck with a capacity of at least 33,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW). A CDL Driver’s main responsibilities include loading & unloading inbound & outbound material, verifying accuracy of shipping & receiving paperwork, and working in a safe and effective manner. This position is responsible for the safe securement of freight on trucks/trailers and delivery & pickup of material locally/regionally. Responsibilities: Promote a Safety-First culture. Report accident and near miss incidents immediately; Strive to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. Operate forklifts and other equipment in a safe manner. Complete all required and necessary safety checks. Maintain the housekeeping activities of the warehouse & garage Perform truck/trailer safety inspections & report all damage or needed repairs immediately. Perform daily maintenance of trucks (refueling, cleaning, etc.). Load & secure outbound material, properly arranging & balancing it on the truck/trailer. Ensure all shipping & receiving documentation is complete and accurate. Verify all loads for accuracy against shipping & pickup paperwork. Log all mileage in accordance with company policies and Driver Manifest instructions. Interact with Customers & Vendors in a professional manner. Must participate in random DOT drug screening/testing program. Perform other duties as assigned by the Distribution Manager. Qualifications: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must hold a valid CDL A or B driver’s license. Must have a license to operate a forklift or at least one (1) year experience operating like equipment, and able to obtain a forklift operator’s license. Possess the ability to manage and complete multiple tasks in a timely manner with accuracy and attention to detail List Qualifications & Education Requirements. Work Environment: General warehouse conditions, experiencing heat & cold temperature ranges. Outdoor in the elements. Office / Storeroom environment. Routine use of industrial equipment & tools such as overhead cranes, forklifts, carts & other material handling equipment. Driving consists of thruways, city streets, rural & industrial roadways year round in various weather conditions.
