Design Engineer (Civil)

Job Description Job Description ARH Associates is looking for an experienced civil engineer to join our organization as a Senior Design Engineer . The successful candidate will work in our Corporate Headquarters, based in Hammonton, NJ. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects, primarily in the public/governmental sector, mentoring staff, and maintaining client relationships. The ideal candidate should be willing to represent ARH at public meetings and manage all aspects of a project's lifecycle and delivery. A qualified applicant will possess; A required Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, with a Master’s degree a plus A preferred 7 years of related experience managing projects of various size and scope A required NJ PE License. Certified Municipal Planner (Preferred) Strong technical skills and the ability perform all aspects of a site design project. Oversee design, construction, commissioning, qualification (if applicable) and readiness workstreams for each assigned project. Ensures that projects are of high quality, are completed on schedule and remain within budget Directs design and construction management activities including budgeting, designer selection, and design review. Manage all external design team professionals from project inception through completion and ensure they produce thorough and accurate drawings which comply with all established standards Review all construction drawing documents and specifications, coordinating necessary reviews with business unit representatives and regulatory authorities Assist with overseeing relationship with the local municipality authorities for project permitting and other business related to site improvements Keep up to date with current local and state standards and codes. Experience with site layout design including grading, drainage, erosion & sedimentation control, sanitary sewer, and stormwater management Knowledge of the local municipal, county and state land use, planning and zoning processes and regulations (NJ) Work within AutoCAD alongside staff engineers to collaborate and successfully complete projects within established budgets, deadlines and agency regulations. Soil Erosion & Sediment Control Design including stability calculations, Best Management Practices, swale design, spillway design, and determination of construction sequence Seeks out, develops, and recommends improvements to standards, best practices, and other technical guidelines. Supervises a technical staff on a project basis. Reviews operational procedures and to ensure compliance with applicable policies, best practices, and performance measures. This position will be key to our Company’s growth and expansion plans.
