1st Shift Sanitation Lead

Job Description Job Description We are seeking a proactive and strong Bilingual Sanitation Lead to oversee the cleaning and sanitation of our warehouse facility, which includes food-handling areas and sections that may be dirty and dusty. This individual will ensure a clean, safe, and compliant work environment, with a strong focus on accountability, leadership, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in sanitation, preferably within the food industry, and the ability to lead and manage a team effectively. You will be overseeing a crew of 6-7 janitorial cleaners across 3 shifts, ensuring consistent execution of cleaning protocols throughout the day. Location: Oak Creek, WI Schedule : 6 am-2:30 pm (OT as required) Pay rate: $22.00hr Duties: Supervise and lead a sanitation crew of 6–7 team members across three shifts. Ensure all cleaning and sanitizing tasks are completed to standard, including in food-contact and general warehouse areas. Conduct daily audits and inspections to verify the quality and completion of work. Meet with auditors and provide accurate documentation and reporting. Maintain compliance with all safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards within a food warehouse setting. Develop and manage a weekly master cleaning schedule aligned with Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOPs). Enforce adherence to food safety and general safety guidelines. Assess and improve cleaning procedures regularly for better efficiency and effectiveness. Work in cold environments when necessary, especially in temperature-sensitive areas. Requirements: Prior experience in sanitation, preferably in a food-handling or food manufacturing environment. Strong leadership skills and proven experience supervising a team. Comfortable working in dirty, dusty, and cold environments. Strong organizational skills with experience managing cleaning schedules and ensuring task completion. Ability to pass a background check, drug test, and E-Verify. Excellent communication skills; able to work with both internal teams and external auditors. Availability to work Monday through Saturday (6 days per week). Knowledge of sanitation regulations and food safety compliance.
