OTR CDL A Driver

Job Description Job Description We are seeking a professional and dependable CDL Class A Driver to join our over-the-road (OTR) team. The successful candidate will safely transport freight across the country while providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities: Safely operate a tractor-trailer to transport freight across the country. Plan and adhere to delivery schedules and routes. Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and freight, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations. Load and unload freight as needed, securing it properly for transportation. Maintain accurate records of duty status, mileage, and fuel consumption using electronic logging devices (ELDs). Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status, delays, or other concerns. Follow all applicable traffic laws and regulations, maintaining a clean driving record. Must have basic mechanical skills Perform basic vehicle maintenance, such as checking fluid levels and tire pressure. Provide excellent customer service to clients and consignees. Qualifications: Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Minimum of 2 years of OTR driving experience. Clean driving record and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen. Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards. Good communication skills and ability to work independently. Physical ability to load and unload freight, as well as perform basic vehicle maintenance. Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and GPS systems preferred.
