Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Job Description Job Description We have an immediate opportunity for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic in the Missoula MT area. This candidate will be responsible for the maintenance of fleet construction diesel equipment, pick-up trucks, trenchers, excavators, backhoes, trailers, loaders, and other related construction equipment. Job Duties Routine preventive maintenance of fleet vehicles at assigned intervals Generating repair orders with computerized maintenance management system Order parts, tracking parts inventory and maintaining vendor relationships Coordinate small tool repair Documentation of PM reports & equipment repair logs Hydraulic and engine repairs Air brake repairs Chassis repairs Repair of construction type fleet equipment and vehicles Must be able to work with minimum supervision Ability to travel to jobsites as needed and perform field repairs Skills and Qualifications: Previous experience required repairing hydraulic automotive and diesel engines Requires experience repairing air brakes, certification is preferred but not required Computer Diagnostic experience (International/Freightliner/Peterbilt) Fabrication experience (welding/body repairs) Chassis repair experience Yellow Iron/Heavy Machine diagnosis and repair experience Aerial device experience a plus but not required Must have at least 5 years’ experience working as a heavy equipment mechanic Valid Driver’s License Overtime required during busy season Company Vehicle provided Profit sharing and bonus opportunities We offer a generous benefits package including company-paid medical insurance, paid holidays, 401k and paid time off (PTO) Upon a conditional job offer, a drug test and background check will be required.
