Senior Production Supervisor

A well-established food manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Senior Production Supervisor to support the Production Manager in delivering efficient, high-quality operations in a chilled food processing environment. This role offers the chance to join a forward-thinking team supplying premium products to leading UK retailers. Key Responsibilities Review and implement daily production schedules in line with staffing, materials, and equipment availability Organise staffing plans to ensure production targets and efficiency levels are consistently met Manage labour costs by planning staff rotas, holiday cover, and appropriate skill deployment Oversee the availability and usage of packaging and component materials Investigate and address quality or process-related issues, including those arising from customer feedback or audits Ensure systems such as Microsoft Dynamics AX, Autocoding, and Sparc Systems are used effectively to support production Monitor raw material yields and packaging usage, maintaining strong stock rotation and control Complete and verify all production documentation, including quality and safety checks Enforce and maintain food safety and health & safety standards, conducting investigations as required Essential: Fluent in spoken and written English Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar supervisory role within a food manufacturing environment Level 3 Food Safety qualification Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Desirable: Strong decision-making skills and the ability to work under pressure Excellent attention to detail Experience using MRP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics AX or equivalent Benefits include: Staff canteen Casual dress code Free and on-site parking Health & wellbeing programme For more information, please call or email me!
