Opportunity to Lead & Shape a Growing Practice A leading law firm consistently recognised in the Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners rankings, is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Senior Associate to join our expanding Derivatives & Structured Finance team. This is a unique opportunity for a talented lawyer with 3-6 years of post-qualification experience to take a leading role and directly contribute to the growth of a dynamic practice, with a clear and accelerated pathway to partnership. About the Role: You will be a key member of our team, advising clients on a wide range of complex derivatives and structured finance transactions, with a particular focus on: Retail Structured Products: Designing, documenting, and advising on structured products tailored for the retail market, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks. Repackagings: Structuring and executing repackaging transactions, including the creation of bespoke securities. Derivatives in Structured Finance & Lending: Utilising derivatives as part of complex structured finance and lending transactions, including interest rate and currency swaps, and credit derivatives. Regulatory Compliance: Navigating and advising on relevant regulatory regimes, including MIFID II, PRIIPs, and other applicable regulations. Client Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong client relationships, providing expert advice and strategic solutions. Business Development: Actively contributing to the growth of the practice through business development initiatives. Mentoring & Supervision: Providing guidance and supervision to junior team members. About You: 3-6 years of PQE in Derivatives & Structured Finance from a reputable law firm. Proven experience in advising on retail structured products, repackagings, and derivatives as part of structured finance and lending transactions. Strong understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks. Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills. Commercial acumen and a proactive approach to business development. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong client relationship management skills. Ambition and drive to progress to partnership.
