Senior New Product Development Technologist

The role: This is a fantastic career opportunity for any aspiring Development Technologist looking to shape a career within a dynamic, forward thinking food manufacturer creating healthy eating initiatives and other on-trend categories. You will lead and support the progression of customer and proactive concepts through launch. Confidently leading pilot plant lab trials and upscaling to factory trials for both Pasta and Snack. Help organise and execute the main stages of development to develop and successfully launch products on time. Collaborating cross functionally with Sales, Marketing on facilitating ideation & concept and with Technical, Engineering and Production departments for a successful a scale up to factory trial and launch. Ideal candidate: Degree in Food Science or relevant science related field. Understanding of the NPD Process in a food-based company with 1 – 3 years’ experience in a similar role Understanding of Health & Safety, Food Regulations and HACCP. Organised with excellent attention to detail Strong administrative skills together with good computer knowledge, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team Good project management skills. A ‘can do’ attitude with a strong desire to deliver against strict targets/deadlines Be organised with good analytical data skills. The ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally Able to multi-task and prioritise under pressure Ability to build a strong relationship with operational teams Excellent customer service skills Keen to learn and be a problem solver Flexibility Full Driving Licence with access to own car Benefits & details: Up to £36,000 benefits.
