As a Category Buying Manager, you’ll oversee a significant spend area in either the soft drinks or impulse categories – shaping the strategies and driving growth for key clients in these dynamic sectors. Responsibilities include: Develop relationships with key suppliers that promote efficient ways of working with an innovative and strategic approach Manage supplier relationships to ensure continuity of goods and services meet the quality, service, and price required Full awareness of market trends identifying opportunities to develop ranges and excite our customers. Ensure a safe supply chain for employees, clients, and consumers Retention activities related to categories, suppliers, and products within assigned portfolios You will need the following: Strong Category procurement or National Account Management experience within the Impulse or soft beverage sector Retail buying experience Experience of complex supplier, distributor and client management Strong decision maker, with good commercial acumen who is comfortable working under pressure Solid analytical skills, with an ability to manage and interpret data to make effective decisions A collaborative team player that brings people together to deliver results Strategic thinker who can demonstrate impact and influence across an organisation A “Can Do” attitude to resolve issues and take learnings to drive ongoing Continuous Improvement The role offers a couple of days a week working from home, but candidates should live within a reasonable commute of the office in Central London.
