Waste Minimisation Adviser - FLK12744

Job Advert We are seeking a dynamic and experienced person to join Falkirk Council’s Waste Strategy Team in the post of Waste Minimisation Adviser. We’re looking for someone who has a good understanding of waste and recycling collections in a local authority or similar environment and is keen to develop their experience by working effectively and efficiently on a range of projects to reduce waste, encourage reuse and increase recycling across the Falkirk Council area. Previous experience of working within a local authority, partnership working, data analysis and community engagement would be beneficial. You will be based at Dalgrain Depot, Grangemouth. With a degree or equivalent in a related subject, you will assist with the development of a range of projects to implement Council strategies to reduce waste, encourage reuse and increase recycling in line with current legislation. The successful candidate requires a good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages with particular emphasis on Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. Key to success is the requirement for the appointee to have excellent communication skills, customer service skills, be a team player, with the ability to be mobile across Falkirk, and have confidence to work independently.
