Job Description
Scope of Role Avondale Foods is a leading food processing company of Fresh and Chilled products supplying leading retail businesses such as Marks & Spencer, and Morrisons and Waitrose in the UK. The purpose of this role is to oversee and assist with Continuous Improvement initiatives across all departments. In this role you will actively promote a culture of Continuous Improvement. You will employ LEAN & Continuous Improvement tools to: observe and analyse activities, define improvements, and implement projects. As the Senior Analyst you will oversee the work of the Continuous Improvement Analyst. Mentor, guide and support all departments in pursuing Continuous Improvement and best practices. Drive productivity improvements by focusing on Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), eliminating top losses and enhancing equipment utilisation. Oversee the Leader Standard Work (LSW) program Deliver leadership training to Line Leads, Charge Hands, and Supervisors. Promote cost efficiency through effective labour utilisation. Ensure consistent use of Lean tools, including 5S, SMED, and Value Stream Mapping. Coach and support team members on Level 1 and Level 2 Continuous Improvement projects. Develop and mentor junior members of the Continuous Improvement team. Lead and manage a minimum of two active Continuous Improvement projects at any time, ensuring timely completion. Deputise for Continuous Improvement Manager Pathway to progression Ensure Food Safety compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements to remain audit-ready at all times. Contribute to the development of a culture of Integrity, collaboration do the right thing approach in all interactions. Ensure adherence to all Health & Safety and Food Safety policies and procedures. Carry out other reasonable duties as required to support business needs. Essential 25 years of experience in a Continuous Improvement, Process Improvement, or similar lean manufacturing operational role. Proven ability to identify and implement efficiency improvements across operational processes. Strong proficiency in Microsoft applications including Excel Solid understanding of cost drivers and the financial impact of operational decisions. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously. Desirable Lean Manufacturing Qualifications Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to influence and engage across all levels. Effective problem-solver with a structured, data-driven approach. High attention to detail and accuracy. Skills: Organisation Data Analysis Project Management
