Lawyer

We are in the process of adding a Lawyer to our dynamic team based in Hamilton, Ontario. This role focuses primarily on the Corporate & Commercial sector and will involve a range of tasks including advising clients, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and representing clients in both criminal and civil court proceedings.Responsibilities:- Advising clients on legal matters pertaining to the Corporate & Commercial sector- Conducting comprehensive legal research to aid in case preparation and client advisement- Drafting and reviewing legal documents to ensure they are accurate and thorough- Representing clients in criminal and civil court proceedings, advocating on their behalf- Holding a license to provide legal advice and representation with a detail-oriented approach- Assisting clients in navigating through various legal situations- Acting on behalf of clients in legal matters to protect their interests- Providing counsel to clients on how to handle certain legal situations.- Must hold a bachelor's degree in law (LLB) from a recognized university.- A minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate and commercial law.- Must be a member in good standing with the local bar association.- Demonstrable ability to interpret laws, rulings and regulations for businesses.- Proven skills in drafting, negotiating and reviewing legal documents.- Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successfully resolving disputes.- Strong analytical skills and the ability to think critically.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.- High degree of ethics, integrity and gravitas.- Proficient in using legal research tools.- Ability to manage multiple clients and cases simultaneously.- Proven ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.- Must be meticulous and possess strong organizational skills.- Should be willing to keep up-to-date with the latest legal trends and developments.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
