We are seeking a highly driven and detail-oriented Operating Controller to join our client, a leading organization in the environmental services sector, with a strong focus on Renewable Natural Gas initiatives. This is a 100% onsite role located in convenient Midtown Toronto, easily accessible via TTC.This is an exciting opportunity tailor-made for a Big 4-trained CPA eager to bring their expertise to a fast-paced, dynamic family office environment. With no direct reports but significant responsibility, this role demands exceptional financial acumen, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of delivering results in high-pressure settings.Please note that the qualifications listed below are all mandatory. Big 4 CPA required.6 years in an Assistant Controller/Controller capacity with FP& A Industry experience.Preparing Journal Entries Based on Actual Financial Performance - revenue earned, expenses incurred, accruals & deferrals, record asset depreciation, closing entries.Expertise in Budgeting and Forecasting, Advanced Financial Analysis, Financial Modeling, and Stress Testing to drive data-informed decision-making and risk assessment.Proficient in preparing, analyzing, and interpreting P& L Statements and Comprehensive Financial Statements with a focus on accuracy and actionable insights.Strong ability to delve deep into financial data to ensure accuracy and precision, recognizing that these reports provide critical insights for C-Suite executives and decision-making.Expertise in thoroughly analyzing and evaluating every component of financial statements to ensure accuracy, compliance, and strategic insights.Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, with the ability to create dynamic financial models, in-depth data analysis, and executive-level presentations.Proven ability to engage and communicate effectively with senior leadership.This role requires a professional who can hit the ground running, demonstrating a vivid curiosity and in-depth understanding of financial concepts.
