Controller

We are seeking a detail-oriented Controller to lead financial operations for a growing distribution wholesale company. This role oversees day-to-day accounting activities, ensures compliance with financial regulations, and provides strategic financial insights to support business growth. Responsibilities include financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and cross-functional collaboration to drive efficiency and profitability.Key Responsibilities:Oversee preparation of accurate financial statements (P& L, balance sheet, cash flow).Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and company policies.Perform financial analysis and present reports to senior leadership.Lead annual budgeting and develop financial forecasts.Oversee cost accounting, inventory valuation, and margin optimization.Ensure proper internal controls and regulatory compliance (e.g., taxes, audits).Manage cash flow, working capital, AR/AP processes, and credit facilities.Lead and mentor the finance/accounting team while fostering accuracy and accountability.Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.7 years of progressive experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.Strong expertise in GAAP/IFRS, ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, etc.), and advanced Excel.Experience in inventory accounting, COGS analysis, and financial audits.Key Competencies:Strategic mindset, analytical problem-solving, and attention to detail.Strong leadership, team management, and effective communication skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
