Job Description
We are in the process of hiring a Treasury Analyst to strengthen our client's team. The person in this role will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of treasury functions, including managing bank accounts, overseeing liquidity, handling debt management, implementing treasury systems, managing financial risk, and supporting insurance programs. Responsibilities- Ensuring efficient operation, compliance, and performance of our global banking relationships and accounts.- Collaborating with internal stakeholders and external banks to monitor account activity, resolve issues, and optimize banking services.- Overseeing daily cash position to maintain adequate liquidity for operational needs and optimizing the use of excess cash.- Assisting in the management of working capital and ensuring the availability of funds across regions.- Supporting the management of our debt portfolio, including term loans, revolving credit facilities, and other financing arrangements.- Contributing to the optimization of treasury management systems (TMS) and related financial technologies.- Identifying and assessing financial risks, including foreign exchange, and interest rate fluctuations.- Serving as a back-up for managing our global insurance program, including coverage for property, liability, and other corporate risks.- Assisting in streamlining treasury operations by identifying areas for improvement and leading or supporting initiatives for process enhancements.- Providing user training and system support to ensure efficient and effective use of treasury systems within the organization.- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create advanced formulas and pivot tables- Experience with SAP S/4HANA or similar ERP systems- Familiarity with standard accounting functions, such as accounts payable and accounts receivable- Proven experience in account reconciliation, ensuring all financial data aligns across various systems- Expertise in managing Accounts Receivable (AR), including invoicing, collections, and reporting- Ability to analyze financial statements to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement- Knowledge of auditing procedures, with a focus on adherence to industry regulations and standardsThis role is 4 days on-site in Downtown Ottawa.
