Join our passionate Power Project Team as a Project Engineer on landmark HV Substation & BESS projects with Downer, Australia's leading infrastructure company. ABOUT THE ROLE Lead the way in delivering ground-breaking HV substation & BESS projects valued up to $40M throughout Queensland with our Power Projects Team . Located in our Milton Office, you will utilise your expertise to guide dedicated delivery teams, ensuring the safe, cost-effective, and high-quality construction of HV infrastructure projects that meet client requirements, KPIs, and financial targets within Downer's delivery model framework. Your day-to-day tasks will include but are not limited to: Assess risks in construction to ensure safe execution and compliance with environmental and quality standards. Coordinate and manage construction engineering activities to ensure timely, budget-friendly, and quality-driven project delivery. Lead by example and consistently promote key aspects of Zero Harm when working with operational teams. Collaborate with project teams to form active and effective business improvements that eliminate waste and minimise operational costs. ABOUT YOU A Trade or Engineering (Electrical or similar) qualification and/or a Diploma in Project Management. Additionally, you must possess experience delivering electrical utility projects. High proficiency with computers and relevant software. Superior communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholders and up and downstream.
