THE ROLE Reporting directly to the General Manager, this position offers an exciting opportunity for a Shared Services Manager to significantly contribute to the enhancement of essential business support functions, ensuring their efficiency and alignment with operational requirements. The Shared Services Manager will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Overseeing HR, Tenders and Contracts, Training, IT and Client Service functions. • Leading dedicated professionals to deliver outstanding customer service to internal stakeholders through collaboration and a solution focused approach. • Delivering business analytics and reporting. • Oversee and engage in the formulation of both long-term and short-term plans, policies, and procedures. • Develop and recommend policy and strategic objectives for shareholder consideration. • Recommend opportunities for growth for existing customers, potential new customers and additional (new) services required. • Create operational and financial budgets, along with forecasts, for all departments within your control. • Supporting the organisation’s strategic objectives. REQUIREMENTS To be successful in this role, you will have: • Tertiary qualification in Business/Commerce (or equivalent) • Proven experience in managing and guiding a team with varied areas of expertise • Strong business acumen with advanced communication and people skills • The ability to develop and maintain strong relationships • Continuous improvement, detailed and analytical mindset • Proven experience in coordinating activities and contributing to meeting of the organisation strategic objectives • Demonstrated expertise and familiarity with relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and other applicable standards that influence the company's operations within the shared services departments. While not mandatory, experience in the mining or heavy industrial services sectors is highly valued.
