Waste Transfer Station and ReUse Market Attendant City of Mount Gambier has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and driven individual to join the Waste Transfer Station and ReUse team. About the position: Permanent full-time. Competitive remuneration. The Waste Transfer Station and ReUse Market Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional customer service experiences to stakeholders in accordance with the organisations vision and values. The position is responsible for providing support to the Waste Transfer Station and ReUse Market People Leaders to ensure the daily functions including sorting and saving initiatives, resource recovery and processing through appropriate waste management principles are achieved. This position is classified at Grade 5 (currently $74,486.82 - $76,070.20 per annum) of the City of Mount Gambier AWU Enterprise Agreement No.12 2022. About you: Well-developed communication and customer service skills with a diverse range of people. Ability to work as a member of a team (varying in size and composition) and to work under minimal supervision. Experience in operating a range of plant and equipment in such as manner as to deliver optimum vehicle/equipment performance and efficiency Experience in the proper care and maintenance of equipment and machinery. Be able to complete assigned tasks to an acceptable standard and on time. Well-developed cash handling experience. Sound administration and information technology ability. Experience in applying the principles of risk management and safety within an operational work environment.
