Job Description: Qualified Panel Beater Main Responsibilities: • Remove damaged panels and parts, along with removing upholstery and accessories to gain access. • Hammer out dents in panels and use mechanical and hydraulic equipment to straighten damaged vehicles and parts. • Replace severely damaged sections with either new or second-hand panels. • Fill depressions with plastic filler, and meticulously file, grind, and sand repaired surfaces. • Cut and join replacement sections using welding equipment. • Fit repaired or replacement panels on vehicles and reattach body hardware, such as door locks and trims. • Assist vehicle body builders in constructing and restoring custom-designed, vintage, and other specialty vehicles. • Collaborate with the spray-painting team to ensure a seamless finish. Skills & Abilities: • Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology or equivalent. • Minimum of fiveyears' experience as a qualified Panel Beater. • Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair. • Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Salary Range: $72,000-$82,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
