As a Warehouse Assistant , you’ll be encouraged to grow, develop and feel empowered, contributing to the meaningful work of Queensland’s leading charity retail brand . Our Distribution Centres across Queensland provide our 120 retail stores with quality donated goods, giving pre-loved items a second life and bringing in profit to support our Crisis Support Line and suicide prevention services. Your part in our Lifeline team Working out of our Mackay Distribution Centre, you will: Operate baling machine to support export production and facilitate the storage of goods Manually move crates/items to ensure that the process line has a continual supply of stock for production Truck deliveries and pickups Assist with loading and unloading of trucks and containers Assist sorting staff with day-to-day operations Pack rags to operational standards in preparation for dispatch Maintain workstations and storage areas in a clean and tidy manner, in accordance with workplace health and safety regulations, including moving stock and rubbish to allocated areas. Ensure equipment is maintained in a fully operational condition and report any maintenance or safety issues to relevant supervisor Ensure all paperwork relative to your role is recorded accurately and on a daily basis What makes a difference for us? To be successful for this role you will need to the following: Availability from 7am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday MR Licence Forklift licence, and prior experience working in a Warehouse environment Previous experience working within a warehousing environment with skills in stock control, rotation and order picking Passion for the Lifeline brand and ability to articulate its purpose Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team and organisational goals Pride in your work and be efficient in meeting deadlines and achieving results Ownership of work outcomes for self and team Ability to comply with all safe work practices for procedures and equipment relating to this position What makes a difference for you?
