Job Description

The Team: Facilities Management and engineering services are a small team located at the Royal Hobart Hospital, service the southern region of Tasmania.The Facilities team consist of both Trades and administration staff providing Maintenance services to the Southern region of Tasmania. The Role: Be an effective member of the Facilities and Engineering Team responsible for the maintenance, repair and installation of all mechanical trade related plant, equipment, services and facilities within the Department’s area of responsibility.Maintenance of specialised equipment, to ensure reliability of all mechanical equipment and services including, air-conditioning, and sanitizers in accordance with statutory requirements.Support a preventative maintenance schedule for equipment for health care facilities in accordance with statutory requirements. Note: - Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application. Day work plus on-call and participation in an on-call roster.Travel may be a requirement of this role as work may be performed at any Southern facility. Details of appointment: Permanent full time day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies. Salary: $73,811 to $79,779 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022 Salary Packaging: You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year other benefits if eligible.
