ETL Tester - Manual & Automation Testing

Role : ETL Test Engineer Experience : 5 Years Location : Noida/Pune About the Job : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ETL Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our data pipelines and ETL processes. You will design and execute test strategies, identify defects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions. Key Responsibilities : - Design and execute manual and automated test cases for data pipelines and ETL processes. - Validate data extraction, transformation logic, and loading into data lakes, warehouses, or downstream AI models. - Collaborate with engineering teams to implement test automation across multiple platforms and environments. - Write complex SQL queries for data validation and reconciliation. - Contribute to the creation of reusable test automation frameworks and improve existing ones. - Conduct non-functional testing such as performance, recovery, and failover scenarios. - Identify, track, and resolve defects using issue management tools (e.g., Jira, GitLab). - Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, providing input on testability and quality. - Work closely with data engineers, data architects, and business analysts to understand data requirements and ensure test coverage. - Develop and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports. - Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in ETL testing and data quality assurance. - Mentor and provide guidance to junior test engineers, as needed. What You Bring : - 5 years of experience in ETL, Data Pipeline, or Big Data testing. - Strong understanding of ETL processes, data ingestion, and transformation validation. - Proficiency with SQL and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Redshift, Snowflake, etc.). - Familiarity with big data tools such as Apache Spark, Hive, or Hadoop. - Hands-on experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Mocha, JUnit). - Experience integrating tests in CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab or Jenkins. - Understanding of data governance, data privacy, and metadata testing principles. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. - Strong communication and collaboration abilities. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
