Oracle Hyperion Administrator

Job Overview : We are seeking an experienced Oracle Hyperion Administrator to manage and maintain our Hyperion applications and infrastructure. This role involves installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Oracle Hyperion software, providing technical support, and ensuring the systems overall health and performance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Hyperion applications, strong troubleshooting skills, and a deep understanding of system administration. Key Responsibilities : - Install, configure, and maintain Oracle Hyperion applications, including but not limited to Hyperion Planning, Hyperion Essbase, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), and Hyperion Workspace. - Perform regular system health checks, backups, and performance tuning of Hyperion environments. - Troubleshoot and resolve Hyperion application-related issues, including performance, connectivity, and security issues. - Administer Hyperion application security, managing users, roles, and permissions. - Manage application upgrades, patches, and version control. - Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including IT and business teams, to ensure Hyperion solutions meet business requirements. - Monitor system logs, analyze system performance, and provide recommendations for improvements. - Develop and maintain documentation related to system configurations, operational procedures, and best practices. - Work closely with application developers to support customizations, integrations, and new implementations. - Provide training and support for end-users and other IT staff. - Stay current with Oracle Hyperion product updates and best practices. Required Technical Skills : - Oracle Hyperion Suite : Deep expertise in Oracle Hyperion applications (Hyperion Planning, Essbase, HFM, Hyperion Financial Data Quality Management (FDM), Hyperion Workspace). - Database Administration : Strong knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server) and experience with data management in Hyperion environments. - Scripting/Automation : Proficiency in scripting languages such as MaxL, Batch scripting, or PowerShell for automation of routine tasks. - Operating Systems : Experience with Windows Server, Linux, and UNIX systems. - WebLogic Server : Experience with Oracle WebLogic Server administration, including installation, configuration, and tuning for Hyperion applications. - Performance Tuning : Strong skills in performance monitoring, tuning, and optimization of Hyperion applications and associated databases. - Backup and Recovery : Experience with backup and disaster recovery strategies for Hyperion applications. - Security Management : Expertise in Hyperion security configurations, including integration with LDAP, Active Directory, and other authentication methods. - Integration Tools : Experience with integration tools like Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) or FDMEE for data integration between Hyperion applications and other ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle E-Business Suite). - Troubleshooting and Debugging : Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for resolving application, server, and database-related issues. - Version Control and Patch Management : Hands-on experience managing Oracle Hyperion patches, updates, and version control processes. Desired Skills : - Cloud Expertise : Experience with Oracle Hyperion Cloud services or Oracle EPM Cloud solutions is a plus. - Project Management : Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall). - Communication : Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Certifications : Relevant Oracle certifications (e.g., Oracle Hyperion Planning, Oracle Essbase) are desirable. Qualifications : - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Experience working in an enterprise environment with large-scale Hyperion implementations.
