Sr. Engineer, Acquisition

The Sr Engineer, Acquisition will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining server-side applications and databases to support and enhance the customer experience. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that backend systems align with business objectives and user needs. The developer will also identify opportunities for improving the performance and scalability of backend services in a fast-paced, global fashion retail environment. As a Senior Engineer, you will: Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications and databases for complex multi-channel customer experience projects using Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban). Collaborate with cross-functional teams including front-end developers, UX/UI designers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and functionality. Support project timelines by identifying and mitigating risks and resolving backend-related bottlenecks. Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for performance optimization and efficiency. Utilize data-driven insights to inform architectural decisions and demonstrate the impact of backend development. Foster a culture of collaboration, agility, and innovation. THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART Must-Have Experience & Skills: Experience working with any Marketing Technology platforms like Salesforce, SAP, Klaviyo, Google Marketing Platform, etc. Klaviyo is most preferred. Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code Experience with any E-commerce platforms such as SAP Hybris, SAP Commerce Cloud, Magento, Adobe Commerce Cloud etc. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams Experience in the retail industry, particularly within a global context. Education: Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, Marketing Technology, or related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster, PMI-ACP, SAFe Agilist) are a plus. Nice to Have skills: Proficiency in server-side languages such as Java, Python, Node.js, or Ruby Experience with database technologies like SQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB Knowledge of RESTful API design and development Understanding of microservices architecture and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) Familiarity with version control systems like Git Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Travis CI, or CircleCI Proven track record of collaborating cross-functional technology teams in front-end development or customer experience projects. Experience in analyzing and mapping customer journeys, and familiarity with digital marketing tools.
