ETL Tester

Job Description : - Perform ETL testing to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and transformation rules compliance. - Develop, execute, and maintain test cases, test scripts, and test plans for ETL processes. - Validate data mapping, transformation logic, and business rules between source and target systems. - Write and execute complex SQL queries for data validation and verification. - Conduct root cause analysis of data discrepancies and report defects. - Test data loading, transformation, and integration processes. - Conduct performance testing to assess system responsiveness and scalability. - Identify, log, and track defects to resolution. - Collaborate with development, QA, and business teams to understand requirements and ensure test coverage. - Stay updated with the latest testing tools and methodologies. - Automate test cases using appropriate tools to improve efficiency. - Work closely with ETL developers, data analysts, and business teams to resolve data : - 4-7 years of hands-on experience in ETL testing. - Strong knowledge of ETL Testing concepts and processes. - Familiarity with Teradata and Data Warehouse (DW); DataStage knowledge is a plus. - Hands-on experience with SQL programming, including writing complex queries. - Proficient in UNIX Shell Scripting and job execution. - Experience with test case preparation and execution. - Knowledge of HP QC and ALM tools. - Strong team player. - Experience in the healthcare domain is preferred. - Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field. Required Skills and Experience : - Strong knowledge of database concepts, including Oracle, SQL Server, PL/SQL, and SQL - Experience with ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, SSIS, etc.) - Proficiency in SQL query writing and data analysis. - Experience with testing methodologies and techniques (e.g., black-box, white-box, integration testing) - Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and data modeling. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Attention to detail and ability to identify data anomalies. - Strong interpersonal and communication abilities. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
