Quality Analyst - STLC Process

Required Skills: - Solid understanding of QA Testing Methodologies including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall. - Comprehensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). - Thorough understanding of the Software Test Life Cycle (STLC). - Proficiency in the Defect Life Cycle and its various stages. Hands-on experience in performing various testing types including : - System Testing : Evaluating the integrated system as a whole. - Integration Testing : Testing the interaction between different software modules. - Regression Testing : Ensuring that changes or bug fixes do not negatively impact existing functionality. - Functional Testing : Verifying that the software performs according to the specified requirements. - User Acceptance Testing (UAT) : Participating in or supporting testing performed by end-users. - Experience in Web Application Testing : Thoroughly testing web-based applications for functionality, usability, and performance. - Experience in Database Testing : Verifying data integrity, accuracy, and consistency within databases. - Proven ability in Test Plan Creation : Developing comprehensive test plans outlining the scope, objectives, resources, and schedule for testing activities. - Hands-on experience in Test Case Execution : Executing test cases meticulously and accurately recording the results. - Proficient in Defect Management : Identifying, documenting, tracking, and managing defects using bug tracking systems. : - Participate in the entire software testing lifecycle, from understanding requirements to release. - Analyze requirements and design specifications to create comprehensive test plans and test cases. - Execute test cases (manual and potentially automated) and accurately record test results. - Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla). - Perform various types of testing including system, integration, regression, functional, and UAT. - Conduct thorough testing of web applications, ensuring functionality, usability, and performance. - Perform database testing to verify data integrity and accuracy. - Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to communicate test results and defect status. - Participate in test planning meetings and provide valuable input. - Contribute to the continuous improvement of our testing processes and methodologies. - Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in software quality : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - 1 - 4 years of professional experience in software quality assurance and testing. - Solid understanding of software testing principles and methodologies. - Familiarity with bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla). - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality. - Good communication and collaboration skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a Skills : - Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Appium). - Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner). - Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger). - Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for test automation. - Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment. - Any relevant certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) (ref:hirist.tech)
