Big Data Tester - SQL/ETL

Job Description : We are looking for an experienced Big Data Tester to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and performance of large-scale data processing systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Big Data testing, SQL, and data validation techniques to support end-to-end data pipelines and analytics solutions. Roles and Responsibilities : - Design and execute test strategies for Big Data applications and ETL pipelines. - Perform data validation, data integrity checks, and schema validation. - Write complex SQL queries to validate data transformations and processing. - Identify, document, and track defects in large datasets. - Work closely with data engineers and analysts to improve data quality. - Automate Big Data testing processes using appropriate tools and frameworks. - Ensure adherence to data governance and security standards. Skills and Qualifications Required : - 5-8 years of experience in Big Data Testing. - Strong proficiency in SQL for data validation and querying. - Experience in testing Hadoop, Spark, Hive, or similar Big Data technologies. - Knowledge of ETL testing methodologies and data warehouse concepts. - Familiarity with automation tools for Big Data testing. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Experience working in Agile environments is a plus (ref:hirist.tech)
