Microsoft Dynamics 365 & PowerApps Consultant

About the Role : We are looking for a highly skilled and passionate Microsoft Dynamics 365 & PowerApps Developer to join our growing team. This role is integral to driving innovation and digital transformation within our organization by designing, building, and maintaining modern business applications using the Microsoft Power Platform particularly PowerApps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and Dynamics 365 (CRM & ERP modules). As part of the Digital Solutions team, youll play a key role in delivering business-critical applications that enhance operational efficiency, automate manual processes, and deliver excellent user experiences. You'll work closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and other developers to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. Key Responsibilities : Development & Customization : - Design, build, and deploy Canvas and Model-Driven PowerApps integrated with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Sales, Customer Service, Field Service, Finance, SCM). - Customize and extend Dynamics 365 using Power Platform tools (PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI, AI Builder) and Microsoft Dataverse. - Develop custom components, plug-ins, and integrations using PowerApps Component Framework (PCF) and Dynamics SDK. - Build and maintain Power Automate workflows to streamline business processes (e.g., approvals, email notifications, task assignments). Integration & Data : - Integrate PowerApps and Dynamics 365 with external systems using Connectors, Azure Logic Apps, APIs, and Custom Connectors. - Work with Microsoft Dataverse to model data effectively, ensuring proper relationships, business rules, and logic. - Use Azure services (e.g., Azure Functions, Service Bus) to support advanced integration or background processes. Business Analysis & Support : - Collaborate with business analysts and end-users to gather requirements, propose solutions, and translate into functional apps. - Perform gap analysis between standard D365 functionality and business requirements. - Support user training, documentation, and post-go-live troubleshooting. Governance & Best Practices : - Follow enterprise development standards and best practices (ALM, solution layering, source control, DevOps pipelines). - Ensure data security and role-based access through correct configuration of security roles and field-level permissions in D365 and Power Platform. - Monitor, maintain, and optimize performance and scalability of solutions. Required Skills & Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. - 38 years of hands-on experience developing with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM/ERP and PowerApps (Canvas & Model-Driven). - Proficiency in Power Automate, Microsoft Dataverse, and related Power Platform tools. - Solid understanding of Dynamics 365 entities, relationships, forms, views, and business process flows. - Experience with JavaScript, C#, .NET, Azure Functions, and Power Platform CLI / DevOps is highly desirable. - Familiarity with PCF controls, Custom APIs, and Azure integrations is a strong plus. - Strong analytical thinking and ability to convert business requirements into functional and technical solutions. Preferred / Bonus Skills : - Microsoft Certifications (e.g., PL-100, PL-200, PL-400, MB-210, MB-500, etc.) - Experience in Agile/Scrum environments and tools like Azure DevOps or Jira - Knowledge of other Microsoft 365 services (SharePoint, Teams, Outlook) - Exposure to AI Builder, RPA (Power Automate Desktop), or Virtual Agents - Understanding of Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) or Business Central is a plus (ref:hirist.tech)
