TAG - Quality Assurance Engineer - API Testing

Role Overview: We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented QA Tester to join our growing technology team. As a QA Tester, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our software and applications. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing test plans and test cases, identifying defects, and working closely with the development team to ensure the delivery of high-quality products. Key Analysis: Thoroughly analyze software requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to understand the scope of testing required. Test Planning and Design: Develop comprehensive test plans, test strategies, and detailed test cases covering various testing types (functional, regression, integration, system, usability, performance, etc.). Test Environment Setup: Configure and maintain test environments, including necessary hardware, software, and data, to accurately simulate production conditions. Test Execution: Execute test cases meticulously, both manually and using automated testing tools, and accurately record test results. Defect Identification and Reporting: Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking systems with clear and concise steps to reproduce, severity, and priority. Regression Testing: Perform thorough regression testing to ensure that bug fixes and code changes have not introduced new defects or negatively impacted existing functionality. Test Automation: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate testing frameworks and tools to improve testing efficiency and with Development Team: Work closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand issues, provide feedback, and ensure timely resolution of defects. Test Data Management: Create and manage test data effectively to ensure comprehensive test coverage. Test Reporting and Analysis: Prepare clear and concise test reports summarizing test execution status, defect metrics, and overall quality assessment. Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest testing methodologies, tools, and best practices, and actively contribute to improving our QA processes.
